Sharmagne Taylor has over 20 years of experience in hospitality management including Meeting and Event Planning, Trade Show Management, Convention Sales, Convention Services and Hotel Operations.
She served five years as secretary of the Board of Directors for the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners and on the Advisory Boards of Houston Works USA and the University of Houston Black Alumni Association.
Taylor is a graduate of the prestigious Conrad N. College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston and completed the University of Texas, McCoombs School of Business Community Minority Business Advancement Program in 2003.
She speaks frequently at the University of Houston, having been a “Dean’s Distinguished Lecturer” in 2005, encouraging current students enrolled in the hospitality program and also participating in annual Think Tank sessions for alumni and industry leaders.
